Summary In this article, it is mentioned that a cake shop owner named Jack Phillips stated that he was practicing his religious beliefs when turning down the opportunity to make a cake for a same-sex married couple. According to the artist, making the cake would have meant him going against his religious values by supporting the same-sex marriage . Although the cake artist seemed to have won the case with the supreme court, we see that there have been efforts made from the state of Colorado to try and help fight for the rights of the same-sex couple who requested the wedding cake. Questions are now raised as to whether the actions of the State are considered signs of bullying the baker's religious beliefs, or if this is to be considered the best plan of action in supporting the same-sex couple.
