This article is in regard to the reactions made by Donald Trump and the football community for the silent protest that many football players partook when kneeling during the national anthem.  Teams are being given financial penalties for these actions, new policies were made so that those who are silently protesting in regards to police violence can do so in their locker rooms during the time that the national anthem is being performed. This article discusses Cesar Chavez and his decision to not allow Mexican immigrants to migrate to the United States illegally. Although many who support the deportation of illegal immigrants would use Cesar Chavez’s claim as an excuse, sometimes they do not know of the purpose behind his support of this decision. Summary In this article, it is mentioned that a cake shop owner named Jack Phillips stated that he was practicing his religious beliefs when turning down the opportunity to make a cake for a same-sex married couple. According to the artist, making the cake would have meant him going against his religious values by supporting the same-sex marriage . Although the cake artist seemed to have won the case with the supreme court, we see that there have been efforts made from the state of Colorado to try and help fight for the rights of the same-sex couple who requested the wedding cake.
