Summary In this article, it is mentioned that a cake shop owner named Jack Phillips stated that he was practicing his religious beliefs when turning down the opportunity to make a cake for a same-sex married couple. According to the artist, making the cake would have meant him going against his religious values by supporting the same-sex marriage .
